PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Kirby were appointed as principal contractor for the Blary Hill Windfarm Gridline Connection.

Works included the installation of both the overhead lines and underground cable route.
Blary Hill Windfarm is a 35MW distribution connected generator, connected to SHEPD’s Carradale GSP via 13km grid connection circuit. The circuit comprised of a mix of 33kV UGC and OHL.

SCOPE OF WORKS

Kirby was responsible for the electrical scope of works.

The electrical systems installed by Kirby included:

• Earthing & Bonding
• MV Cable Connection System
• Fibre Network
• OHL
• Distribution Underground Cables

The total project meterage included 32,400m of cable and 36 nr. joints.
