PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Kirby was appointed as GC2 to consecutively complete the mechanical and electrical fit-out across 9 nr. 4MW data halls within 2 nr. live Data Centres. The completed IT Load for this project is 36MW.

The 20,000m² project included nine data halls delivered over a short construction period.

SCOPE OF WORK

Kirby was responsible for the mechanical, electrical and GC2 scope of works.

• Temporary Phasing Walls
• Perfect Positioning Marking Out for Data Racks & Barcode Labelling
• Extract Fan Platforms & Containment Step Overs
• Provision of Openings for the Integration of Extract Fans at Roof Level
• Cladding Installation
• Design & Installation of Bespoke 20 Ton Loading Bays

Installed equipment and plant items included DAHUs, Extract Fans, Traffos, LV Switchgear, Generators, UPS, Busbar, 2.5mva Transformers, 3mva Generators, 50kva UPS, MEDS (LV), COPS (LV), PDC’s (LV), House DBs, Busbar, CRAC Units, Fire Dampers and HRU.
The mechanical and electrical project meterage included 160,000m of cable, 2,000m of pipework and 24,000m² of ductwork.
