PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Kirby was responsible for the electrical services installation in the recommissioning and upgrading of an existing Data Centre.
Works also included refurbishment of the administration offices, an extension for a loading bay and a 500kV white space fitout requiring temporary MEP infrastructure.
Through effective coordination and an efficient construction schedule, all installation and MEP works were successfully completed over an 10,000m² area in line with a challenging timeline.

SCOPE OF WORKS

Kirby was responsible for the mechanical and electrical scope of works.

The electrical systems installed by Kirby included:

• MV Distribution
• LV Distribution
• Generator
• General & Emergency Lighting
• General Service Power
• Mechanical Plant Service Power
•  Fire Detection & Alarm
• Access Control, Intruder & CCTV
• Earthing & Bonding

The mechanical systems installed by Kirby included:

• Chilled Water
• Low Temperature Hot Water
• Supply & Extract Ventilation Distribution
• DWS
• VRF Air Conditioning
• Leak Detection
• Soils & Wastes
• Domestic Water Services

Installed equipment and plant items included CRAC units, Condensers and Admin AHU.
The total project meterage consisted of 12,000m of cable and 800m of containment.
