PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Kirby was responsible for all mechanical and electrical services associated with a new High Bay Warehouse Facility, including offices, QA/QC area, plantrooms and production area. Manpower on site peaked at 105.

Kirby implemented Building Information Modelling (BIM) which ensured the project was successfully delivered and facilitated early client access.

SCOPE OF WORK

The Kirby scope of works included the installation and commissioning of all electrical and mechanical services.

The electrical systems installed by Kirby included:

• Fire Detection and Alarm
• Access Control, Intruder and CCTV

Installed plant items included 1 no. MDB, c/w PFC, 3 no. SDB, 1 no. UPS system, 4 no. comms cabinets, 1 no. fire alarm panel, 1 no. gas detection panel, 10 no. circulating pumps, 1 no. condensate skid recovery, 4 no. extract fans, 31 no. fan coil units 2 no. calorifiers, 3 no. solar arrays, 2 no. water storage tanks, 6 no. AHU’s, 2 no. steam/LPHW heat exchanger skids and 9 no. BMS outstations.

The total project meterage consisted of 150,000m of cable, 2,100m of containment, 1,000 no. instruments, 800 no. loops,240m of impulse piping, 800 no. I/O points, 3,750m of black utilities pipework, 1,600m of plastic pipework, 3,100m of stainless pipework, 6,000m² of ductwork.
