Leading mechanical and electrical engineering firm Kirby Group Engineering has been awarded Investors in Diversity Silver, reaffirming its commitment to creating a fair and inclusive workplace.
The Limerick-headquartered company’s silver reaccreditation benchmarks it against other organisations across Ireland, as it continues to embed inclusive practices across the organisation, fostering a sense of fairness and belonging among colleagues.
Investors in Diversity is Ireland’s premier accreditation and framework for progress with #FREDIE™ (Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Engagement) in the workplace. The programme recognises existing efforts, and supports continuous progress, by providing a structured framework to transform workplace practices and culture.
Kirby’s Group HR Director Alistair Tosh says, “We are proud to nurture a diverse workforce. Through a wide range of mentoring, outreach and training and development programmes, we are investing in a more diverse and inclusive future.
“Our equality, diversity and inclusion journey is an ongoing one, and are committed to striving for excellence as we develop our accreditation standards. We know that strength comes from diversity and are actively committed to increasing it.”
Caroline Cummins – Managing Director at Irish Centre for Diversity, says, “Retaining Investors in Diversity Silver accreditation reflects Kirby’s continued commitment to embed Diversity & Inclusion across the organisation. This sustained progress shows the positive impact inclusive practices have on both colleagues and stakeholders.”
