PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Kirby was appointed to complete the electrical, mechanical, and GC2 scope of works on multiple turnkey projects at an existing data centre facility in Dublin.
The works spanned two buildings, covering 12,000m², and were conducted within a live environment, ensuring full redundancy for the entire 6MW campus. Projects delivered by Kirby included the build-out of multiple data halls, incorporating the full GC2 scope.
Kirby utilised advanced digital engineering technologies to coordinate and model the services on the project, engaging with the client from design and concept stage through to commissioning and handover. All prefabricated services were produced at the Kirby off-site manufacturing facility in Portlaoise.

Installed plant items included 18 nr. UPS Systems, 3MVA Generators, 3 nr. 10kV Transformers, Busbar, 30 nr. LV Switchgear Units, 6 nr. Dry Air Coolers, 8 nr. Chillers, 30 nr. CRAC, 70 nr. CRAH, AHU, Exhaust Fans, Pressurisation Units, DGU, Primary and Secondary Pumps.
Kirby also installed multiple cooling and free-cooling systems to support alternative standalone requirements within the facility.
The total project meterage consisted of 16,000m of cable, 1,150m of containment, 2,000m² of ductwork, and 10,200m of pipework.
