PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Kirby was awarded the electrical balance of plant contract for a new substation to connect the client’s facility to the ESB Networks 38kV system via the Grange Castle – Saggart 38kV Line. The project included the contestable civil works associated with a 38kV substation and gridline.

Works included all electrical and civil works associated with the electrical balance of plant, including design, procurement, installation/erection, testing and commissioning of the works.
Prefabrication of the modular substation was carried out off-site by Kirby.
