PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Kirby was appointed as MEP contractor for the installation of a new production line for processing plasma products within an existing manufacturing facility.

Kirby implemented LEAN construction techniques throughout the project and prefabricated CHW and LPHW pumps skids. This minimised interruption to the client and optimised efficiency.

SCOPE OF WORKS

Kirby scope of works included the installation of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation services.

The electrical services installed by Kirby included:

• Stainless Steel Mapress on CHW & LTHW
• Plastic Exhaust

Installed plant items included process instruments, transformer, 2 no. MCC panels, SDB, BMS panel, UPS, fre alarm panel, 4 no. chillers, 3 no. AHU’s, 3 no. extract fans, munster’s dehumifdiers, stem heat exchanger, 6 no. LPHW and CHW pumps. The total project meterage included 26,000m of cable, 2,300m of containment, 345 no. of instruments, 720 no. of loops, 290 no. of calibrations, 7,500m of impulse piping, 220 no. I/O points, 450m of stainless steel mapress, 40m of plastic pipework and 448m² of ductwork.
